IMMUNITY AGAINST WRONG CHOICES

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Proverbs 14:12 KJV)
In life, we need to make decisions all the time. This is what makes us human. The quality of our decisions determine the height of our ascension. Therefore, the text above is very crucial if we are to attain the heights of glory God has planned for us. There is life abundant which Jesus has come to give us, if we choose right or death for those who choose wrongly.
The ability to make the right choices is available those to who will happily choose God’s ways. When we choose to go our ways, we are dabbling in the ways of death. The key words in the above text is seemeth right. This implies that the man would have assessed the situation and made a conclusion that this is the right choice. It is not blatantly wrong—it just looks about right. Therefore, if one is looking to conclude a business deal, this may seem right on the surface and profitable—but if it is not in the will of God, then it is a licence to dabbling with death.
Therefore, the question is how can one determine the right choices and follow them? What process do I need to take to ensure all seeming rightness is abandoned and the certain rightness of God will be what I will follow? The only way is Jesus—he orchestrated our future the way it should be and can navigate us to eternal fulfilment if we humbly come back to him to seek answers to our questions.
The man who walks by seeming rightness is a man controlled by carnal thoughts—he is a carnally minded man, focussed on fulfilling the desires of the flesh. On the contrary, the man who Walks in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16) will walk in the paths of God-ordained choices and will not experience death of any kind.
Today is an invitation to choosing right in all we do. If we lack wisdom of what to do, there is Jesus who we can come to for wisdom and he will grant it to us (James 1:5). There is also the ministry of the Holy Spirit which shall guide us into all truths (John 16:13). As we start speaking in tongues and depending on Jesus more, we insure ourselves again wrong choices and thus fulfil the destiny God has called us to fulfil. God bless you.
