ANTIDOTE TO A FEARFUL HEART

“Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.” (Isaiah 35:4 KJV)
Fear is the negation of faith and we are instructed by scripture that without faith, it is impossible to please God. God’s Word always aims to engender faith instead of fear. In this charge, may the God that destroys fear in us empower you with unusual grace to manifest faith instead of fear. Drink of him today, the antidote to a fearful heart!
God has made an antidote to a fearful heart and we are to find out what this antidote is. Isaiah 35:4 explains that for us to enjoy the antidote to fear, the following are vital steps that we must follow:
Speak to your heart: This seems strange but until we open our mouths and speak the Word of God over the challenge holding us down, we may not experience the promises of deliverance we see in God’s Word. Open your mouth today and speak to your heart, and allow the spoken Word to bear fruit in you.
Know your God: Another antidote to a fearful heart is knowledge of God and His promises for you. Daniel 11:32 tells us that those who know their God will be strong and then do exploits. Lack of knowledge multiplies fear!
God is fighting for you: Its vital that as you consider God and what he has done in your life, to understand that he is fighting for you. He told the Children of Israel in Exodus 14:14 that they hold their peace, for he will fight for them. Psalm 44:3 enjoins us that the possession of the land of promise is not by our sword but by the right hand of God. True victory over fearful heart happens when God’s intervention is allowed to bear upon your every challenges.
Salvation is in God alone: If you are plagued by fear, there is one single antidote to it and that is God’s mighty hand of salvation. Surrender your fights today and hand over your sword to God… he will come and save you.
